Heron Preston S/S 2022
As a one of my final assignments at SCAD, I created a collection for Heron Preston based on essential workers during the pandemic. At the start of the pandemic, the world was basically shut down, other than our essential works such as ; police, fire departments, health care workers, etc. After the first month, many states were working diligently to re-open businesses. In doing so, they began claiming businesses such as fast food and retail were essential. I found a lot irony around this subject and how telling the American value. For this collection, I wanted to create a more modern street wear collection inspired by vintage essential workers (fast food and retail) and their vintage uniforms.
